Thief: The Dark Project was a pivotal game for stealth gamers everywhere, and we’ll definitely be talking about it later on in the Ghost Gamer History series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The modern “remake” that was released is considered a bit iffy, but does have a number of the mechanics of the original Thief at least. Color me surprised, then, when I found out The Dark Mod<\/a>, a spiritual successor to the original Thief game, came up in my Google alerts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I haven’t had a chance to play it yet, but the fact that it free and has great support for the community to extend it makes me ridiculously excited. Sure, it looks a bit dated, but frankly, if it plays well enough..
