It had been some time since we’d seen some ninja-action in gaming, and then we got Aragami. The stealth game with mystical themes was hit or miss in some circles, but we’re glad to see that a sequel is officially coming early 2021. Take a look at the reveal trailer below!

In this incarnation, things look to be much the same as the original, except for one big change: Coop gameplay.

Stealth gameplay in coop can be a mixed bag, mostly because you’ve typically got to hope the people you’re playing with are at least as good as you at staying hidden, if not better. We’ll have to wait and see how it plays out, and it’s honestly surprising to see them attempting a multiplayer facet of the game given the original Aragami was fairly small in scope.

Of course, you don’t have to play coop; the game is perfectly playable as a single player game, but obviously there will be additional benefits to playing in coop.

Here’s hoping it works out and your team isn’t a bunch of randos screaming “Leeeroy Jenkins!”

Aragami 2 is set to come out on PC (steam link here), PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
