It wouldn’t be an Ubisoft game without a critical gameplay mechanic bug that goes unfixed for over a year! Finally, the issues with stealth detection timing and occasional X-ray vision of enemies is being patched next week in Title Update 1.4.1.. But that’s not all.

Sometimes, Ubisoft’s tendency to homogenize their titles isn’t a bad thing. We’re getting some new difficulty options, much like Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s Ghost Experience settings, to allow us to fine-tune our experience.

This includes options like detection time, search duration, exploration settings, parry timing windows, and a whole bunch more.

Settings like these are something that I personally feel very passionate about, just because it reduces the barrier for entry for players to get into the game when they have physical limitations (such as myself). It means we can play with overall higher difficulty, but also lets us adjust parameters for gameplay mechanics that require a faster reaction time than people like me aren’t capable of any more.

This patch will come next week, so if you haven’t touched Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in a while (like me), you might want to wait until the patch is officially out. Why? Because it’s a MASSIVE download; they are doing “data restructuring“, which means you’ll basically re-download the entire game rather than just a patch.
