We’ve finally got word on what’s coming with Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s Motherland DLC, which will be out November 2nd.

Watch the trailer below.

There’s a lot to unpack here, so I’m just going to start listing things.

First off, what I’m most excited about: Optical camo is coming, and it’s actually useful rather than purely cosmetic. That’s huge. Wildlands had it, but it had no measurable impact to stealth.

Next, we’re getting new cosmetics based on Future Soldier, as well as a number of new weapons (including an AS VAL, plus another sniper rifle I didn’t recognize immediately), and a weapon mastery system.

Gameplay essentially introduces a new mode titled “Conquest”, where you’ll fight the Wolves, Sentinel and a bunch of new Bodark units who are occupying regions of the map in order to give control to the outcasts. No idea yet if this will play out like Far Cry 6’s Insurgency mode or not, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there weren’t regular reclamation mechanics. It is noted that this will provide impact on the world, reducing enemy patrols, drone swarms, and more.

Finally, the level cap is getting bumped to 99 (from 30). You’ll be able to invest all this new XP into weapon mastery, so you can imagine I’ll be putting quite a bit into sniping.

Still no word about Moa island, but we’ll have to wait until Nov. 2 to see.

Most likely this will be the last major Breakpoint DLC, which would make sense given the rather large scope of it based on the trailer.
