Weekends are a fantastic thing when you’ve got them. Now that Ghost Gamer News is live (to those of you privileged few who are getting to enjoy the soft launch – thanks for all the clicks!), I’m no longer spending them coding, so I can devote more time to gaming among my countless other tasks.

Starting out the weekend was a blast with my coworkers at my day gig; The stealth-focused party game Among Us served to be a spectacular way to close out a day of code, content and catch-ups before the weekend (and I’ll be damned if it wasn’t heartbreaking when Megan, one of the most unsuspecting members of our team, killed me first). If you haven’t played it, you definitely should. Get a good group of friends together and learn to hate each other as you scream “J’Accuse!” and frantically try to remember how to complete tasks. It’s got a number of interesting mechanics for stealth, and takes solid focus and awareness, not to mention the ability to lie when you’re the imposter.

The rest of the weekend will be spent with Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts so I can say I’ve actually put the time in and beat it before 2 comes out, so I have more than just a “It’s not a sniper game, it’s a designated marksman game” complaint (here’s hoping they also revisit the magic mask component).

I’ll also finally be working on new updated guides for snipers in Ghost Recon Breakpoint; at the very least we’ll have a full ranging guide, covering both how to range your rifle and choose your scopes & attachments. Unfortunately, Ghost Recon Breakpoint appears to be lacking in communication from the developers again; We haven’t heard much after the latest live event, and I’m not sure if we’ll ever get regular status updates again after the recent shakeups at Ubisoft.

Speaking of Ubisoft, just a reminder that Ghost Recon Wildlands is now on GeForce Now’s streaming platform.

Finally, a bit of news for those of you who might be interested: Hitman and the Shadowrun Collection are going to be Epic Store’s next freebies. I’ve never been a big fan of the Hitman series, but Shadowrun has tickled my old broken pen & paper bones many times for it’s story and gameplay. If you were thinking about getting them, wait until Monday when they go up on Epic’s store for free.

What’ll you be playing this weekend? Let us know in the comments, or join the discussion on the Ghost Gamer Subreddit.
