We’re a day into the Steam Stealth Fest, and there’s quite a bit worth getting. I will note not all titles under the Steam Stealth Fest are actually discounted, so I’m just going to focus on the ones with discounts below.
Without any further delay, here’s what I recommend you pick up from the Steam Stealth Fest!
- Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 – This one was a solid title that was a lot of fun, and is well worth it (especially for fans of sniper games who want to engage targets past 1km). Read the GGN review of SGW Contracts 2 here! You may also want to check out our SGW Contracts 2 guides.
- Sniper Elite 5 (and SE4, and SE2 remastered)- SE5 is an absolutely fantastic stealth game, playing ALMOST like a Splinter Cell set in WW II. Check out the SE5 review, or dig into our SE5 guides.
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – This one is an interesting experience. The world map is a little too large, but it features some great ship-based combat as well as fun builds for stealthy players, despite the main character not being an actual assassin (no hidden blade here, but the game works well without it).
- AC Valhalla – If you plan on playing Mirage, you might want to play AC Valhalla; While it’s not necessary, it will help you familiarize yourself with the main character in Mirage. Check out our AC Valhalla review, or the AC Valhalla guide list.
- AC Origins – this is one of my favorite modern titles, and it’s still very much worth playing (in fact, I’ve been playing it again just recently). It’s challenging and fun for fans of stealth as well as the more modern combat styles they’ve crafted into the AC series.
- Ghost Recon Breakpoint (and Ghost Recon Wildlands)- This is the game that launched this site. It’s got a lot going for it, and with all the updates and changes made it’s definitely worth playing now. Check out the Ghost Recon Breakpoint review, or our GRBP guides. We also have an updated review of Wildlands.
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist – This is the last release as of now in the Splinter Cell universe. While panned by a number of purists, the game is still fun, and is just modern enough to still feel “right” for gamers who are a fan of more modern titles.
- Generation Zero – I hate how late I got into this game, but it’s definitely worth grabbing immediately. The graphics are a bit dated, but the game is an absolute blast for fans of stealth! Check out our Generation Zero review.
- Intravenous – I was lucky enough to get a review copy of this one, and.. Wow. If you like classic, ultra-hard games, this one is SPECTACULAR. Check out the Intravenous review.
- Thief: Deadly Shadows – This is the original, and despite being pretty dated at this point, it’s a fantastic piece of stealth gaming history that can be had for just a buck.
There are a number of other good titles available for sale, so if you’ve already got these, definitely go ahead and browse the stealth fest page.
I will note that there are some titles I would avoid.. Chief among them? This Land is My Land, which is quite possibly one of the worst modern games I’ve played (oh, and let’s not forget the awfulness that is Nero, which is also on sale).
